The United Kingdom of Great Britain (also known as the UK) is a union more than 300 years old + is made up of four countries: England, Scotland, Wales, + Northern Ireland. It occupies all of the island of Great Britain, the northeastern portion of the island of Ireland + most of the remaining British Isles. The UK is an island nation but shares a open land border with Ireland.
So far I’ve only been to England but I’ve heard such amazing tales about Scotland + Ireland that I will definitely have to visit there one day. Liverpool is synonymous with the Beatles in my mind + it was not a disappointment. London is iconic + is breathtaking in every aspect. My travels also took me to Stonehenge (can we say WHAT?) that was truly remarkable. Weather was overcast as expected + I had a little rain but nothing to stop me from traveling throughout the United Kingdom, a truly incredible country.
